Sew It Seams provides sewing, alterations, custom garment services, workshops, and related creative textile services within Southland, New Zealand.

We offer services including but not limited to:

  • Custom curtains and blinds
  • Custom sewing and design work
  • Sewing workshops and classes
  • Textile or fabric-based creative services

All services are subject to availability and may change without notice.

3. Bookings & Payments

  • Bookings may be required for services and workshops.
  • Payment terms will be provided at the time of booking or quotation.
  • A deposit may be required to confirm custom work or workshop bookings.
  • Full payment must be made before collection of completed items unless otherwise agreed.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Late cancellations or no-shows may not be refunded.
  • Custom work deposits are generally non-refundable once work has commenced.
  • Refunds for completed services are not provided unless required under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (NZ).

5. Turnaround Times

  • Estimated completion times will be provided for alterations and custom work.
  • These are estimates only and may vary depending on workload or supply availability.
  • We will notify you of any significant delays.


6. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate measurements and information where required
  • Try on garments for fittings when requested
  • Collect items within a reasonable timeframe once notified of completion

We are not responsible for issues arising from incorrect information supplied by you.

7. Liability

  • We take care to provide high-quality workmanship.
  • To the extent permitted by New Zealand law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Our liability is limited to the cost of the service provided.

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, branding, and designs, is owned by Sew It Seams unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce or use our content without permission.

9. Website Use

You agree not to:
